Here's what we're doing.

In this session, we will embark on a colorful journey to understand the magic of color mixing.

We'll start with 3 primary colors - red, yellow and blue - and learn how to combine them to create a vibrant spectrum of secondary colors.

But, we won't stop at just the three classic secondary colors. We'll delve deeper and create six, adding a new dimension to our artistic exploration.

When we're done, you will have the foundation for your vibrant color wheel exploration.

Canvas Preparation

Let's get your canvas ready:

NOTE... I will also walk you through these steps in the video.

1. Gather Materials: You'll need a canvas or an 18x24 sheet of paper, a pencil and a large bowl (or circular object) to trace.
2. Draw a Circle: Lightly trace around the bowl onto the centre of your paper to create a large circle.
3. Divide the Circle: Carefully divide your circle into nine equal slices, like a pie. If you find nine slices challenging, feel free to divide it into ten.
4. Prepare Your Paints: Bring your acrylic or tempera paints, brushes and palette to the session. We'll be using these to mix our vibrant colors.
